For evening snack you can take 27 grams of carbohydrates and you can get it from six whole wheat crackers, one ounce low fat cheese or ham and one cup of non-fat milk or yogurt.
Taking much fluids throughout the day is recommended. If you are taking fruit and vegetable juice try to drink it with a small meal or snack. Water contains no sugar so it is the best drink for gestational diabetic women.
